Adler Industrial has leased out an industrial building on Northland Drive in Nampa. The new tenant is Omega Morgan, a specialty rigging company headquartered in Portland, Oregon. Omega Morgan is in the middle of establishing a branch in the Treasure Valley. The firm prides itself on being able to pick up and move just about anything, including bridges.

“No one in the Treasure Valley does what we do,” said Cody Gilder, who is one of the first Omega Morgan employees in the area. “We’re starting with a crew of three for now and will add more as business develops. Everyone on the team will be here in a couple of weeks.” Gilder added that the new shop in Nampa will be up and running by April 19.

The company has done work in Idaho before, sending crews out for rigging jobs out of its Hillsboro shop in Oregon, but with the growth in the Treasure Valley, the firm made the decision to set up a permanent Idaho operation. “We’ve been watching the growth out here, which has just been exploding…The Nampa facility will be our primary location.”

Omega Morgan is currently renting a small office space on State Street in northwest Boise. “It’s a temporary place until the end of the year,” Gilder said. Between now and then, the company will be setting up its new shop in Nampa.

Gilder did remark that trying to find a place to live was not exactly easy in the Treasure Valley right now.

Omega Morgan started out as Morgan Industrial in 1991, focusing on rigging and moving heavy machinery. It merged with Omega Riggers in 2003 to form the current firm. The company has offices in Portland, Seattle, Houston, and now Boise; it employs approximately 300.

The firm does heavy rigging, machinery moving, millwrighting, crane services, warehousing and industrial metrology.

The operations manager for the Boise shop will be Mark Shanholtzer. Gilder is the outside sales representative but he is also a rigger; he expects that he’ll be doing both those functions, at least initially as the Boise branch gets off the ground. “A lot of people at Omega Morgan can wear a couple of different hats,” Gilder added.

“We welcome Omega Morgan to the Treasure Valley and wish them success at our facility in Nampa,” stated Michael Adler, president of Adler Industrial, in a March 30 statement on the lease deal. Adler Industrial is an industrial real estate management, development and construction company with a portfolio of over 80 properties in the Treasure Valley.

The Omega Morgan facility at 2116 Northland Drive in Nampa is 70,000 square feet on approximately 10 acres. According to Adler’s portfolio listing, the property is described as a warehouse with seven loading docks and is zoned for heavy industrial. Sherry Schoen, senior managing director with Newmark, represented Omega Morgan in the leasing deal.
